8:00 Depart to Cu Chi . We drive 70km to north- west of Ho Chi Minh city to visit the incredible system of tunnel, an extremely complex tunnel system, the Cu Chi Ben Duoc network covers a wide area of countryside near to Ho Chi Minh city and was an excellent way for the Viet Cong to move undetected by American forces underground. This evocative day tour explores the struggle of everyday life during the Vietnam War from a local perspective and takes you deep underground to explore the tunnels.

The Cu Chi tour starts with an introductory video detailing its long 20-years construction. Then it is time to go underground to experience the Cu Chi tunnel system ( size 80cm x 120 cm)  which offered a safe haven for soldiers and thousands of Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War. It is virtually an underground city with dwelling houses, schools, hospitals and factories.

On display are booby traps, the remains of a US army tank and huge craters left by American B52 bombs. You will be able to admire lots of compelling photos and personal effects left behind.

There is also the chance to play real war games firing an authentic AK rifle, Garand M1, Carbine M16, M60, M30 at the National Defense Shooting Range used during the war.

Then we will drive back and reach Ho Chi Minh city around 1:00pm for lunch

After lunch, we will visit the War Remnants Museum, which relates to the American phase of the Vietnam War. See displays of old military equipment and other related objects as well as larger exhibits including an F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter.

Continue to the nearby French colonial area, including a stop at the impressive Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a famous cathedral located in Paris Square. Discover the magnificent neo-Romanesque architecture as you take in the tranquil atmosphere inside. Then we visit Opera House , City Hall and Walking street.

Finally, enjoy a visit to Ben Thanh Market, a lively market in District 1, where your guide can help you bargain for goods.

After the tour you’ll be dropped back at your hotel.
